Component status

Every component carries a lifecycle label. It tells you how much the API is likely to change before you depend on it.

Lifecycle labels

Label	Meaning
Experimental	Early design. The API, markup and styling hooks may change or disappear in any release. Not recommended for production.
Beta	Usable and tested, with stories, tests and docs. The API may still change in a minor release while the package is below 1.0. Breaking changes are listed in the changelog.
Stable	The API is settled. Breaking changes only arrive in a major release, with migration notes.
Deprecated	Still works, but scheduled for removal. The changelog names its replacement and the release that removes it.

Where things stand

Hololink UI is pre-1.0 (0.x). No component has been promoted to Stable, so every component is currently Beta. Nothing in the source marks a component as Experimental or Deprecated. Expect some API changes until 1.0, and pin the version you install.

All components

The table is generated from the component manifest (custom-elements.json) when the docs are built. Child components, such as holo-tab, link to their parent’s page. “Form-associated” means the element takes part in a surrounding <form>: its value is submitted with the form, and it supports validation and reset.
