Changelog

Hololink UI follows semantic versioning. While the version is below 1.0, minor releases may contain breaking changes, so each entry says what to change. Releases are cut with Changesets. See Contributing for how a change reaches this page.

This page renders the package’s CHANGELOG.md, so it always matches what was published. The same notes appear on the repository’s GitHub releases.

Minor Changes

  • d22aca8: Remove the Stencil starter scaffold: the my-component element, its ./my-component package export, and the format helper exported from the package root. They were placeholder code from the starter template, not part of the Holocron component set. This removes public exports, so it is breaking; while the package is 0.x, a minor bump signals that.

Patch Changes

  • 7a4df98: Accessibility fixes from the component documentation audit:

    • holo-form-field: the label, hint and error are now light-DOM elements projected into named slots, so the slotted control actually gets its accessible name and description (shadow-root ID references did not resolve).
    • holo-tooltip: finds its trigger in its own document or shadow root, describes the trigger through the tooltip host so the description resolves, and stays open while the pointer is over the tooltip (WCAG 1.4.13).
    • holo-radio-group: ArrowLeft/ArrowRight now move the selection, and arrow keys, Home and End skip disabled radios.
    • holo-list-item: interactive items render a native <button>, so they are announced as actionable. The host is no longer given tabindex.
    • holo-popover: sets aria-expanded on the trigger, moves focus into the panel on open, and only returns focus to the trigger if focus was inside the popover.
    • holo-dialog / holo-drawer: Esc and backdrop clicks no longer close them when dismissible is false. Focus now returns to the element that really had focus (for example the inner button of a holo-button).
    • holo-text-field: new autocomplete prop forwarded to the inner input (WCAG 1.3.5).
    • holo-tag: the remove button is named “Remove ”; new remove-label prop.
    • holo-alert: new dismiss-label prop. holo-pagination: new label, previous-label, next-label and page-label props. holo-breadcrumb: new label prop.
    • holo-table: the responsive scroll container is focusable and, with a caption, a named region.

  • e7e01c6: Fix holo-table cell styling and HTML-authored markup. The ::slotted(th)/::slotted(td) rules never matched (cells are nested inside slotted sections), so the --holo-table-cell-padding, --holo-table-border-color and --holo-table-header-color hooks had no effect; and the HTML parser drops <thead>/<tr>/<td> tags written directly inside <holo-table>. Wrap a native <table> in <holo-table> instead: it is slotted as-is, and cell, header and caption styles now ship in styles/global.css (new components/table.css layer). Sections appended with DOM APIs still render inside the shadow <table> as before.

  • a69234c: Make the design tokens WCAG 2.2 AA compliant and easier to theme.

    • AA-compliant colours. Status colours now use darker shades in light (700) and lighter shades in dark (400) and pass 4.5:1 on surfaces and on their tints. Secondary and tertiary text, link and dark-theme interactive colours were adjusted. A new contrast test in tokens.unit.test.ts enforces these pairings.
    • New semantic tokens. Colour: --s-color-text-link, --s-color-text-link-hover, --s-color-text-inverse, --s-color-bg-inverse, --s-color-bg-backdrop, --s-color-border-control, --s-color-status-{success,warning,danger,info}-bg and --s-color-accent-{glow,grid,grid-strong}. Non-colour: --s-space-{2xs..xl}, --s-font-size-{caption,label,body,lead,title,headline,display}, --s-radius-{subtle,pill}, --s-shadow-depth-4, --s-shadow-glass, --s-duration-*, --s-easing-* and --s-z-index-*. New primitives: --p-color-{green,amber,red,blue}-{50,400,500,700,950}, --p-color-indigo-950 and --p-color-neutral-550.
    • Forced light/dark via data-theme. Themed colours are defined once with light-dark() and follow color-scheme. data-theme="light" now forces light even when the OS is dark, and data-theme="dark" forces dark. Either works on <html> or on any container. The prefers-color-scheme media block has been removed.
    • Deprecated. --p-color-success, --p-color-warning, --p-color-danger and --p-color-info remain as aliases of the 500 shades. Migrate to --s-color-status-*.

  • a69234c: First release to GitHub Packages. The package has been renamed from @holocron/ui to @philbob-sideprojects/holocron-ui; update imports and dependencies to the new scope.
